PA Turnpike's 2024 construction season now over

EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Some good news on the road. The construction season is over on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The Turnpike says it spent more than $286,000,000 on maintaining and modernizing the road.

Water main breaks at Wilkes-Barre Public Square

Twenty eight miles was resurfaced this year with another 27 miles completely reconstructed.

The Turnpike will resume work that's still in progress early next year.
