(WBRE/WYOU) — After dealing with drought conditions across northeastern and central Pennsylvania over the past few months, beneficial rainfall is here this week.
Wednesday, a general 1-2" of rain is expected with locally higher amounts. Temperatures during the day will be in the 50s.
As colder air filters in on the backside of the storm, some snow will start to mix in or change over during the evening.
Little to no snow accumulation is expected. However, some of the highest elevations will have the chance to see minor accumulations.
By Wednesday night, temperatures plummet to the 20s. Any untreated surfaces may be slick heading into the morning.
The cold weather hangs on for Thursday and Friday with temperatures struggling to climb above the freezing mark.
