Man admits to selling 15,000 bags of heroin

TURBOT TWP., NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man confessed to police after he was pulled over that he sold 15,000 bags of heroin.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on October 31 troopers pulled over a vehicle on I-80 in Turbot Township for heavily tinted windows and no visible PA inspection or emissions sticker.

Police stated during the stop troopers saw "several indicators of criminal activity" and the driver, Jose Polo Sanchez, 43, of New Jersey, consented to a vehicle search. During the search, troopers said they found a paper bag filled with bundles of cash that totaled $14,100.

Polo Sanchez was taken into custody for further questioning and he admitted to police that the money was from the delivery of 300 bricks, or 15,000 bags, of heroin, as stated in the affidavit.

Police have charged Polo Sanchez with various drug delivery offenses and traffic violations.
