WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A local business will get some much-needed equipment upgrades and even employees thanks to a fund-raising run.
Roughly 70 runners braved the cold this morning for the inaugural Santa dash 5k in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
The first-time run supports Coffee Inclusive in Pittston, which employs people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Many of the runners wore festive costumes to really get into the holiday spirit, while others just tried to get warm.
"Definitely so much more excited than I was yesterday. Yesterday I was much more nervous, but definitely the community is so nice and everybody is so happy, so it makes me happy. Very exciting, I'm ready, ready to warm up," exclaimed Harvey's Lake runner Emilly Orzechowski.
Coffee Inclusive expected to raise a couple thousand dollars to support its cause thanks to today's fundraising run in Luzerne County.
