SYBERTSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A local business is helping keep the spirit of the season alive and well.
SJM Auto Sales and Repair hosted its annual community Christmas festival, Saturday.
It featured reindeer, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and food and beverages.
The community event doubles as a way to collect donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's "Toys for Tots" drive which SJM has been doing for a decade.
"You know, the main thing is to get a lot of toys for the kids and give back a little bit to the community," expressed event organizer/owner, SJM Auto Sales & Repair Stephen Martonick.
"I think it shows that they care and you need to have that personal experience with them I think to really and they need to have that with their community as well. I do think it's an important thing to do," voiced Jon Weaver of Conyngham.
Thousands of toys were collected today for the "Toys for tots" campaign thanks to the event in Luzerne County.
