EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say all of Northeastern Pennsylvania is under a winter advisory from Sunday into Monday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) announced a Winter Advisory will be in place for all of North Eastern Pennsylvania from 4:00 p.m. Sunday until 10:00 a.m. Monday.
The advisory is in place in the following counties.

Carbon
Clinton
Columbia
Lackawanna
Lehigh
Luzerne
Lycoming
Monroe
Montour
Northumberland
Pike
Schuylkill
Snyder
Sullivan
Susquehanna
Union
Wayne
Wyoming
28/22 News Meteorologist Valerie Smock says an unsettled pattern will move into the area Sunday night.
High pressure has been dominating the area over the past 48 hours, keeping cold air locked in at the low levels of the atmosphere.

With some dry air in place, as precipitation tries pushing in, it will probably hit a wedge of cold and dry air near the surface.
As temperatures drop back below freezing, we'll likely see light snow.
For a time on Sunday, there is a possibility for sleet before changing back over to a mix of rain and snow.
Rain and snow could be with us to start off Monday, but warm enough air will move in and change everything over to just plain rain, mid-late morning.

The high will reach the mid-40s. Tuesday will see a clearing sky. It will also be breezy, with a high near 50.
Scattered showers return for Wednesday with a high in the mid-40s.
PennDOT issues speed restrictions amid winter advisory
As for Thursday, we will see some showers early in the day with a mostly cloudy sky. It'll be breezy and cooler with a high in the upper 30s.
Snow shower chances are with us for Friday and Saturday. Sunday looks dry for now. Temperatures are in the low to mid-30s.
PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission are reminding drivers to travel with caution based on road conditions as weather impacts Pennsylvania roadways.
