PITTSTON CITY, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Both sides of the table were crowded with people in Pittston filling take-out containers with a variety of homemade cookies.
The 10th Annual Christmas Cookie Walk was held at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Pittston.
Baked by local residents, pepper, peanut butter, and chocolate chip were just a few of the cookies to choose from, and if they didn't fill you up enough, people took a chance on winning gift cards, purchasing holiday gifts, and sipping hot chocolate.

We love it, we love it. Everything this church makes any kind of food is wonderful. Cookies are just a little added sweet extra," Member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church Judy Smith said.
"Share our tradition, which is a Byzantine tradition, cook right before Christmas. So it's a good dish to make together and share this goodness with other people," Father Andrii Dumnich of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church explained.
Organizers say they expect to raise roughly $3,000 from the annual event.
