EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Longtime Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey said his goodbyes on Wednesday.
Casey conceded to Republican Dave McCormick in November after winning six out of his last seven general elections.
Casey served the commonwealth for 18 years in the United States Senate.

On Wednesday, in his goodbye speech, Casey said in part the following:
"The privilege of counting my blessings on the floor of the United States Senate. One of the greatest blessings in my life, and I know for so many people here, has been the blessing of public service," Casey stated.
Senator-elect Dave McCormick is set to take office on January 3.
