PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Santa made an appearance at an area venue Wednesday evening to bring smiles to the faces of local children.
The Plains Rotary hosting the 75th Annual Special Needs Charity Dinner at the Woodlands Inn.
The event has hot food served alongside live Christmas music and presents from Santa.
Many of the children there have been attending this event for several years.
Mega Million Jackpot climbs to $825 million
Event organizers say they enjoy the event more than the kids because of how much joy the kids get from it.
"It is a lot of work, but it's worth it all the Rotarians go out in the shop for the gifts. They prepare the gifts for the children. We have another Rotarian who gets donations. We gave each family, a ham and a basket. Everything's donated and the Rotarians love doing what they do," said Plains Rotary member Gino Bartoli.
Certainly a lot of happy faces there on Wednesday night.
