Death Investigation after burn victim found in Luzerne County

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is investigating a death that was reported Sunday morning.

Officials say that crews responded to Coal Street Park around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning for a report of a burn victim.

Police state that the man was later pronounced dead and the Luzerne County Coroner was called to the scene.

The death is not considered suspicious, according to authorities as they are waiting on a toxicology report from the coroner.

Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is conducting the investigation.
