Couple fights off two burglars during break-in

PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Two men were arrested after police say a husband and a wife fought them to stop a burglary from happening at their home.

According to the Plymouth Borough Police Department, on December 21 around 1:00 a.m., officers were called for a reported burglary in the 110 block of Wadham Street.

Police said a woman was screaming that two people were in her house and her husband had one of the men cornered.

Once on the scene officers say they found one man on the floor in the kitchen bleeding while the victim told them the second man fled the scene with no shoes on.

The victims claimed they came home, heard a commotion inside their house, found two men inside, and fought the two suspects who were armed, as stated in the affidavit.

Investigators say the man in the kitchen was identified as Josh Strohl, 26, of Bethlehem and the second suspect, Scott Turner, 38, of Plymouth was later found and arrested on West Main Street, gushing blood from his head.

Both men face burglary, trespassing, terroristic threats, and other related offenses.
