PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Five people were displaced after firefighters battled a house fire in Plymouth Sunday afternoon.
At around 4:00 p.m. Sunday, The Plymouth Fire Department was called to the 100 block of Nottingham Street for a reported structure fire.
The Plymouth Fire Department Chief tells 28/22 News they were called to the blaze with a bed that caught fire.
Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the right side of the home so those on the opposite side did not sustain any damage that would force them out.

Officials explained that there were five people inside the home at the time, four of which were children, and all got out safely with no injuries.
The fire chief says the Red Cross is providing aid and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
