SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Sunbury Police say one man has been taken into custody after a fatal shooting.
Police say they were dispatched to the 1000 block of Court Street in Sunbury around 1:45 p.m. on Friday, January 3 for a female bleeding in the street.
According to police, Jared Heath Wolfe, 46, of Milton, is facing first and third-degree murder charges and other weapons-related charges regarding the incident.

According to police, the victim was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and was later pronounced dead.
Police say Wolfe was with three people including the victim when they smoked what Wolfe thought was weed.
According to the criminal complaint, Wolfe said he then used a paranormal meter to check a statue for energy and received a high reading of paranormal activity which made him feel scared.
Wolfe then explained he believed one of the people was trying to put a white rag with something on it over his mouth to harm him, according to court documents.
According to police, Wolfe said the people were "trying to kill him and eat him" so he ran out of the house to retrieve his handgun from his vehicle.
That is when police say victim opened the passenger door to the vehicle and Wolfe fired a round at her.
Police say they found what they suspect to be synthetic marijuana and multiple smoking devices in the home where the shooting took place.
Wolfe has been charged with murder and other related charges.
