JENKINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Crews were on the scene Tuesday night battling a fire that broke out in Jenkins Township.
Officials told 28/22 News firefighters from Laflin, Pittston City, and Pittston Township were called to the 200 block of Technology Drive in Jenkins Township Tuesday night at 10:20 p.m. for a reported compactor fire.

28/22 News Reporter Gianna Galli was on scene as smoke could be seen billowing out of the warehouse.
Authorities on scene say people have been evacuated from the building.
