WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An investigation is underway after a man died after being hit by a car.
According to the Lycoming County Coroenr's Office, on January 5 Gerard Miles, 52, of Williamsport was hit by a car in the area of Ward Street and Washington Boulevard.

Investigators say Miles was crossing Washington Boulevard when he was hit by a vehicle around 10:00 p.m. Officials noted that Miles was wearing dark clothes and under the influence of alcohol.
Miles was taken to UPMC Susquehanna for massive injuries to his head and chest and he died in the ICU at 2:28 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
