(WBRE/WYOU) — After Sunday's big winter storm, our area will continue to experience bone-chilling temperatures.
A few spots will drop below 0°. At times, wind chills could range between -5° and -10°.
On Tuesday, temperatures may only reach the lower and middle teens in the afternoon. It could be brisk, but not terribly windy. You can expect wind chills between -5° and 5° during the day. A flurry or snow shower is possible, although we won't see any accumulation.
Wednesday morning is anticipated be in the single digits, above and below 0°. The bitter cold is expected to continue. Once again, temperatures could only be in the lower and middle teens in the afternoon.
After Thursday morning, temperatures may start to moderate. Thursday's highs could be in the lower and middle 20s with the chance of a flurry or snow shower.
On Friday, highs could be in the upper 20s to near 30° with a mix of clouds and sun.
PennDOT to implement restrictions ahead of Sunday storm
As it stands right now, a couple of winter storms could track to our south this week. We'll keep an eye on these systems and will update the forecast, if necessary.
Saturday morning is expected start with sunnier skies. However, an approaching cold front could bring increasing clouds in the afternoon. Saturday's highs could be near 30°. As the front moves into the Northeast, a few snow showers are possible Saturday night and Sunday.
Another storm system could give us snow showers on Monday. We'll keep you posted.
Highs on Sunday and next Monday could be in the lower and middle 30s.
