Also on Saturday, authorities say an extreme cold watch is in effect for the following counties from late Sunday night into Wednesday morning:

Sullivan

Northern Lycoming

The NWS warns that the extreme cold watch is in effect because of anticipated cold wind chills that could reach as low as -20° to -25°.

Those severe temperatures could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as half an hour, officials explained.

If you must travel, officials say to always have an extra flashlight, food, and water in case of emergency.
