(WBRE/WYOU) — A Pennsylvania man was arrested after TSA officers at Newark Liberty International Airport say they intercepted a handgun in his carry-on bag.
According to the Transportation Security Administration, a man from Archbald was arrested on Monday, January 20, after TSA officers detected a weapon in his carry-on bag at one of the checkpoints in Terminal A.

The man was arrested after officers recovered a 9mm gun, folding knife, and an extra 12 bullets in a gun magazine from the carry-on bag, officials said.
The federal penalty for bringing a weapon to a TSA checkpoint can cost as much as $15,000, depending on the circumstances.
