SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was arrested after police say he committed a hit and run in Scranton that left a woman injured.
According to the Scranton Police Department, on December 30, officers were called to Green Ridge Street for a pedestrian hit and run incident.
The woman was found unconscious in the roadway and transported to the hospital.

Video surveillance showed a dark colored SUV driving on Green Ridge Street before striking the woman and an unattended vehicle.
The investigation led officers to Putnam Street where a 2007 GMC Yukon was found with heavy damage. The vehicle owner, Mmunga Ilunga Malisawa admitted to driving the GMC and hitting the victim.
Malisawa was charged with accidents involving death or serious bodily injury, recklessly endangering another person.
