Fire officials say nobody was in the commercial property at the time of the fire, but the owner did live in an apartment in the back.
Authorities state that the elements created a challenge for the firefighters, requiring help from seven different departments with one to four trucks each.
They also needed an excavator to get to the hotspots after the metal roof had collapsed.
"When I got here, we had fire blowing out every window of the structure. We had roads freezing up, and inlets and stuff for our trucks were freezing, so we had to battle that," explained Michael Conners, Assistant Fire Chief, Benton Fire Department.
Crews say they had the fire knocked down in about ten to 15 minutes.
No injuries have been reported. So far there is no word how the fire started.
