Man accused of calling in string of bomb threats

SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a Sunbury man has been arrested for calling in multiple bomb threats, hostage situations, threats of violence, and active shooter incidents.

After an investigation by local, state, and federal agencies, Pennsylvania State Police have filed charges against Gabriel Michael Drumheller, 23, of Sunbury.

According to police, Drumheller used a Google Voice number to make multiple threats from November 11, 2023, to December 21, 2023.

Police say Drumheller called in threats to the Sunbury Burger King, Shikellamy State Park, the Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove, and other locations.

Official documents say one of the names Drumheller would use to identify himself was "Greg Heffley", and claimed he had an RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) and a bomb. He also called in bomb threats to the Sunbury Burger King and referenced "killing 50 people with poisoned cheese", investigators said.

Drumheller has been charged with terrorism, terroristic threats, risking catastrophe, and false reports.
