CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Freezing temperatures are the perfect weather for a popular celebration in Lackawanna County.
Families turned out on Saturday for day two of the 21st Annual Clarks Summit Festival of Ice.
Dozens of ice sculptures are located in the borough's downtown with one theme: Under the Sea.
Besides providing carved ice creations and various vendors, the festival provides families an opportunity to check out downtown businesses.
Clarks Summit Festival of Ice returns
Some families make the ice festival a yearly must-see event.
"I think just getting out in the morning, getting to enjoy the sculptures. Each year they have a new theme so it's always exciting to see what they have to offer here," said Wyoming resident Philip Loscombe.
"I just want to tell everybody, come to downtown Clarks Summit. We have everything for everybody, no matter what your pleasure is," Clarks Summit Council President Gerrie Carey said.
You still have one more day to check out the Clarks Summit Festival of Ice.
It kicks off again on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in Lackawanna County.
