(WBRE/WYOU) — We're tracking a clipper-type winter storm that will impact our area Tuesday night and Wednesday.
First, you can expect snow showers across northern Pennsylvania Tuesday evening and overnight. Snow has the potential to accumulate between a coating to one inch. The farther south that we live, there will be little to no snow.
Temperatures will fall into the middle and upper 20s Tuesday night. Second, the cold front associated with this clipper system will move across Pennsylvania on Wednesday. You can expect scattered snow showers. In addition, a snow squall is possible from late morning through the late afternoon hours.
Any accumulations will be minor. However, a little bit of snow can make for slippery spots on the roads. Wednesday's highs will be between 35 and 40.
A Wind Advisory is in effect on Wednesday for portions of central and eastern Pennsylvania. Gusts of 40-50 mph are possible, which can cause power outages and minor damage.
Things will quiet down, temporarily, on Thursday. There will be a mix of clouds and sun with afternoon temperatures in the lower and middle 30s.

Another storm system will head towards the Great Lakes and Northeast on Friday. At this point, it looks like it will be mainly rain. It could start with pockets of a wintry mix because temperatures will be near freezing. In addition, the rain has the potential to end as some snow Friday night. We'll continue to monitor this storm system and update you as necessary. Friday's highs will likely be between 35 and 40.
A brief break in the active pattern is expected on Saturday. The first half of the weekend will be partly sunny with highs in the lower 30s. On Sunday, we'll be watching another quick-moving storm system that could brush the area with snow showers or light snow. If it tracks farther to the north, we will end up with less snow. Highs will be in the middle and upper 30s.
Monday should be near 40, but Tuesday will likely be colder. Each day will give us a mix of clouds and sunshine.
If you take any pictures or videos during the coming snow showers, please send them to our Report It! page and they could find their way onto our newscasts.
