SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Restoring the name of the Central Scranton Expressway from Biden Expressway is being discussed by several state senators.
State senators, Lisa Baker, Judy Ward, and Dave Argall are behind the legislation.
They said it's in response to public outcry over former President Joe Biden commuting the sentence of former Kids for Cash judge, Michael Conahan.

Back in December, many people rallied for the name to be changed.
The Scranton City Council renamed the Central Scranton Expressway in honor of Biden back in 2021 to mark Biden's rise to president and Scranton being his hometown.
