SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Scranton City Council gave the final thumbs up on pay raises for the mayor and council members in 2026.
The council approved the mayor's salary to increase by $20,000 a year to $95,000 and council salaries would jump to $18,000.
Scranton residents raise concerns on upcoming neighborhood project
The vote was three in favor and two against.
This is the first time in a decade council members have seen a pay hike.
