SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Local coffee drinkers are helping bring in some much-needed joy to kids in hospitals.
Dunkin' of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton hosted a celebration on Wednesday for its fundraising efforts.
They got together at the Dunkin' on Davis Street in Scranton.
A grant of $15,000 each will be given to Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital.
It's all through the "Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation."

Dunkin' donated $1 from every iced coffee purchased on June 20 to the foundation.
100% of the funds raised go to the hospital's child life specialty departments in their respective communities.
Dunkin' Marketing Manager Jamie Struwe said.
"Our Joy in Childhood Foundation's mission is to help sick and hungry children in all the communities where Dunkin' operates in the United States, and we are so excited to have been able to raise $30,000 in our area,"
Nationwide, Dunkin' Iced Coffee Day collectively raised more than $2,100,000 to support kids in children's hospitals throughout the country.
