Officials stated that drivers would have had to go to the next exit and find an alternative route to get to their destination.

Those who would have been looking for access to the Northeast extension at Pocono would have to enter through the Wilkes-Barre (Exit 105) or Route 903 (Exit 87) interchanges.

It's unknown why the cancellation was made, or when it will be rescheduled.
