DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — With the Philadelphia Eagles headed to the NFL championship Sunday, one lucky print shop in our area is tasked with making tens of thousands of shirts.
Green and white are on the presses at the 'Talk Shirty to Me' print shop in Dickson City.
Selected as one of the Philadelphia Eagles' official printers for Sunday’s big game, only one thing is on the mind.
“Revenge is best served cold. It’s a great opportunity just to be a part of something bigger in your shop and have an opportunity to really fulfill a huge order for the Super Bowl.”
This shirt is up for sale at the print shop through Friday, but there’s one specific logo everyone can’t wait to see.
The top-secret Eagles design will not be unveiled until they win on Sunday. The only thing owner Ron Augelli could say is that it’s the Eagles' colors and it’s big and bold.
Only a select few of the workers, like Timothy Merli, have seen the championship logo.
“There’s only a handful of shops in the whole country that really saw it and I was the first one to burn it so I was the first one in the shop really to see it.”
Weeks of preparation goes into printing tens of thousands of shirts, such as mixing gallons upon gallons of ink.
This is the second time 'Talk Shirty' has been selected as the Eagles' official printer.
Plans are set for a watch party for the championship game and, if the Eagles win, they’ll work 12 hours straight through the night to make shirts sold by the NFL shop.
“They win, we’re going all night. If we lose, we’re going home and wake up the next day. Just coming back for regular work,” says Augelli.
Again, the Philadelphia Eagles revenge shirts are up for sale at the print shop on Enterprise Street in Dickson City through Friday.
