JACKSON TWP., COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a driver has died after they crashed their vehicle due to icy road conditions.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on February 9, around 2:00 p.m., troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash with entrapment on Pole Bridge Road in Jackson Township, Columbia County.

Troopers said on the scene, the driver, Daniel Hartman, 35, of Benton, was found dead inside the car. Police stated the car left the roadway, struck a ditch, and turned on its side, hitting several small trees.
Through further investigation, troopers determined that Hartman crashed after losing control of the vehicle due to snow and ice conditions on the road.
