Route 225 reopens in Northumberland County after crash

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say Route 225 has reopened after a crash with downed utilities closed a portion of the road Tuesday evening.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) says Route 225 was closed in both directions between Cherry Town Road, or Route 3008, and Schwaben Creek Road, or Route 3010, in Jackson Township, Northumberland County.

Fire destroys historic inn

According to PennDOT, the closure was put in place after a vehicle crash with downed utilities.

PennDOT announced the road has since reopened.
