WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police continue to investigate the death of a woman who died in 2006.
The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department stated they are investigating a cold case homicide that occurred in 2006.
Man charged with assaulting police during arrest
The victim is identified as Patricia Moreton. The 35-year-old woman was found shot to death in her Hazle Street home in 2006.
Family and friends gathered to remember Moreton outside the Luzerne County Courthouse on February 1. Her loved ones have been holding a vigil every year since her death.
