WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — If you're looking for the perfect flowers for that special someone this Valentine's Day, you may find them at a fundraiser for a local fire department.
"It's an annual event. It's definitely for a great cause number one, but I get a great deal, and look at how beautiful these are. This is great, and she loves them every year," Swoyersville resident Robert Bohn said.
The West Pittston Fire Department is hosting its annual Valentine's Day Rose Sale in the Driscoll's Home Center parking lot in West Pittston.
"This is a yearly fundraiser we do to support our funds for the hose company. This is the nineteenth year of doing this sale," explained Rose Sale Chairman Carson Crossley.

A variety of roses are ready to be purchased and packaged on-site.
The proceeds help the all-volunteer operation purchase life-saving equipment and gear.
"We have two dozen pastel pre-packaged for $30. We got one dozen red for $35, we got the long stem with the baby's breath for $45. We have vases for $15. We have singles for $5 and baby's breath for $5," said Crossley.
The sale is a popular one, with customers returning year after year.
"Usually I get here a little later on the days, but this year I got here early and I got a great selection," said Bohn.

In addition to roses, the department is also selling candles.
The sale runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Wednesday through Friday, February 14, or until supplies last.
