DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A young boy has won his own model train after winning a raffle by the Back Mountain Railroad Club held last fall.
The club holds two raffles a year as fundraisers.
Benjamin Cooper paid for his ticket using his own money and was awarded the train, but he did not have a track or power pack to run the train, so a member of the club gave four-year-old Benjamin both and a complete stranger paid for it.

"He was at Kudbowski's where we were picking up the track and he said 'I'll buy the track,' and we asked for his name and he would not give us his name. So Mike, if you're out there, we want to thank you very much publicly for what you've done for Benjamin and for the club," said Back Mountain Railroad Club Secretary Ken Kertesz.
"It feels great to win this nice set!" Cooper said.
The club has 55 members and is growing but they're also looking for new members.
The club's mission is to preserve, protect, and promote rail history in the valley.
