BENTON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a Dalton man lost $36,000 in a theft by deception scheme.
Troopers say they are investigating the incident that occurred via the phone or computer.

Authorities explain a 70-year-old Dalton man was deceived into depositing two payments of $18,000 into a Bitcoin ATM, sending the money to the suspect.
The victim lost a total of $36,000 in the incident and state police are still investigating.
