(WBRE/WYOU) — It's that time of year when the 28/22 News team heads to area classrooms as part of Read Across America Week.
Anchor Tom Williams stopped by Mrs. Greeley's second-grade class at Dodsen Elementary at Mackin in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday morning.
He read one of his favorites, Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. The kids in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District were good listeners and had lots of questions about TV news.
Meteorologist Logan Westrope also participated in Read Across America Week.
He stopped into Mrs. Thomas's fourth grade class at Dan Flood Elementary in Wilkes-Barre and read Wow! Weather! and Misty the Cloud: A Very Stormy Day.

Our very own Reporter, Sydney Kostus, also read Hunches in Bunches to Mrs. Huber's first-grade class at Kennedy Early Childhood Center in Nanticoke.
The kiddos were excellent listeners and learned a little bit about Sydney's job as a reporter.
PA live! host Rachel Malak went to Ross Elementary in Sweet Valley and read The Day the Crayons Came Home to students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
A projector showed the large group the storybook's illustrations as Rachel read.
Celebrating all things Seuss continued Tuesday morning at Hanover Area Memorial Elementary School in Luzerne County.
More than 325 students joined PA live! host Chris Bohinski in the school's auditorium to read Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Chris decided to make the space one big classroom and invited many student helpers from the audience to read the book with him.
28/22 News later learned that for many of those students, it was their first time speaking into a microphone in front of a crowd.
The fun didn't stop there as 28/22 News Reporter Kathryn Oleary also participated in Read Across America Week.
She read Great Day for Up by Dr. Seuss to Mrs. Callejas and Mrs. Minich's fifth-grade classes at Valley View Intermediate School in Archbald, a school Kat attended herself.
The students were very eager to ask questions about her role as a reporter once the story was over.
