SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Community members and healthcare workers came together Thursday to support union jobs at Moses Taylor Hospital, as the search for a new owner continues.
At a town hall tonight in Scranton, organizers announce the launch of their "Coalition to protect regional care and jobs."

They'll be distributing window signs for businesses and launching an online open letter to the new owner.
The letter will welcome the new owner, lay out what is expected of them, and stress how important that hospital is to Lackawanna County.
"Who are we as a community, what are the resources at our discursion, what are the big challenges in the health of the population in front of us, and I think most importantly about making sure everyone in the community knows that they are invited to the conversation," emphasized Dr. Linda Thomas-Hemack, President and CEO of Wright Center Community Health and Graduate Medical Education.
Talks are ongoing, but so far there's no date set for a possible buyer.
