Local inclusive business opens new bakery

PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— It was a day filled with fresh baked treats in Luzerne County.

Coffee Inclusive's new bakery shop held its grand opening this afternoon in Pittston.

Employees were recognized and dignitaries and representatives were also there for the ribbon cutting.

As part of the fun and celebration, Founder and CEO of Coffee Inclusive, Frank Bartoli, got a pie to the face from his daughter Ellie.

She's also one of the employees.

The business creates an inclusive and supportive space where people of all abilities can come together.

"It's so important because we're breaking systemic stigmas that really impact those with disabilities, and that they actually have many many abilities and we're so happy to be able to have them have employment and just be in such a wonderful environment every day," expressed Kaitlin Hall, Director of Business Operations, Coffee Inclusive.

"It's such a wonderful experience to be able to work back here in the bakery and the coffee shop. I couldn't imagine any other place like this to be except for here," said Ellie Bartoli, Barista and Baker.

In honor of pi day, the bakery has pies available for purchase.
