Two PA Lottery tickets worth over $5M near expiration

(WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Lottery is asking players to check their tickets because two winning lottery tickets, worth over $5 million, are close to expiring.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Lottery state two tickets worth a combined total of $5,128,337 will soon expire.

This includes one jackpot-winning Match 6 Lotto prize worth $2.5 million sold in Wayne County, and one jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash prize worth $2,628,337 sold in Westmoreland County.

The unclaimed $2.5 million jackpot-winning Match 6 Lotto ticket was sold at Weis Markets in Honesdale for the May 4, 2024, drawing. The ticket matched all six winning numbers, 2-22-24-36-38-39, to win the $2.5 million jackpot prize.

A prize claim must be filed by May 2, 2025, online, or by mail on May 4, 2025.

The unclaimed $2,628,337 jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket was sold at Murrysville SHOP ‘n SAVE in Murrysville for the May 8, 2024 drawing. The ticket matched all five balls drawn, 14-22-33-35-38, to win $2,628,337.

A prize claim must be filed by mail or at a Lottery Area Office, by May 8, 2025.

By law, unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.

Players should check every ticket using self-service scanners found at retailers or with the Ticket Checker on the Lottery's Official App. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages winners to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481, and file a timely claim at any of the Lottery’s seven Area Offices.
