WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Performers of all ages got their chance to showcase their talents in an annual competition in Wilkes-Barre. 25 finalists performed on Sunday afternoon at the FM Kirby Center for the Fourth Annual NEPA's Got Talent.
State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski, a longtime musician with the band, Eddie Day and TNT, served as event host while the Northeast Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association sponsored it.
The competition brought together a variety of performers from singers, musicians, and dancers to karate and hula-hoop dance demonstrators.

"This was like the big thing that I was looking forward to for a while. So, yeah, I'm just really grateful to be here and to be a part of this," said Samantha Lenza, a Dance Hula Hoop Performer from Nanticoke.
PA live! Co-host Chris Bohinski volunteered his time to the event.
The judges and the audience each got to pick their own first, second, and third-place winners with cash prizes on the line.
The first-place audience vote went to Dance with Kim's Impact Team, while the judge's vote went to vocalist Shelli Selby.
The event raised thousands of dollars for music scholarships in the NEPA area.
