AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Sunday morning fatal house fire is under investigation in Luzerne County.
The Luzerne County Coroner's Office stated they responded to the 600 block of Main Street for a woman dead after a house fire.
According to the Avoca Fire Department, a call for a reported structure came in just after 5:00 a.m.

In total, nine departments responded from Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
The home sustained heavy interior and exterior damage with almost all of the windows broken and fire damage to the roof.
The fire took roughly three hours to get under control with no injuries to any fire personnel, according to officials.
The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.
PSP Fire Marshall, Avoca Fire Department, and Avoca Police department are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Luzerne County Coroner's Office states an autopsy will be completed on Monday.
