MILFORD, PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A jury has found a man guilty on multiple charges stemming from an investigation into a series of child abuse.

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced a jury convicted Timothy Paul Lawrence Jones, 48, of Bushkill, of a series of crimes related to child abuse that occurred from 2019 to 2022.

The jury convicted Jones on the following charges;

Strangulation of a household member

False imprisonment

Endangering the welfare of a child

Terroristic threat

Possession of instruments of crime

According to investigators, two separate incidents occurred where a child was strangled and lifted off the ground by his neck, tying the child up with zip ties, using pliers to twist the fingers of the minor, punching the victim in the face, knocking him unconscious, and other instances of assault.

When detectives began to investigate the abuse, Jones allegedly threatened the victim not to tell investigators the truth about the abuse otherwise he would be sent to a caregiver who "had sexually abused them previously".

Jones's bail was revoked and will be held at the Pike County Correctional Facility pending sentencing.
