Police say man hits multiple police cars during chase

DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man was charged after police say he attempted to buy heroin and cocaine, fled from police, hitting multiple police cars in the chase that ensued.

According to police, on March 20, Jabril Crumbley, 23, was attempting to buy drugs from a confidential informant when officers arrived.

Police say Crumbley fled the scene in a car that led to a chase where he went over 100 mph into oncoming traffic, drove on the shoulders of the highway, and struck multiple police vehicles, including one that caused a three-car crash and sent an officer to the hospital.

According to court documents, after they searched the vehicle, they found marijuana, codeine liquid, drug paraphernalia, and three cell phones.

Crumbley has been charged with aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, reckless driving, and other related charges.
