WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a caretaker is facing charges after an alleged sexual relationship with a patient under her care went wrong.
According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, in January, 37-year-old Stacey Ann Dash, of Edwardsville, was employed by a home health service and took care of a quadriplegic man who lived at a home on Carey Avenue.
The victim informed police that Dash "flirted with him and he flirted back" and they engaged in sexual relations, as stated in the affidavit.
Police say the victim claimed Dash became "crazy" when he told her that he did not want a relationship.

Investigators reported that when the victim told the home health service to remove Dash from his home, she slammed a tablet against his stomach, causing him pain, and as a result, his body began to convulse, causing him to almost fall out of bed.
Officers said Dash left the house, taking with her the victim's cellphone, Ring door camera, the tablet, and a bottle of Hennessy.
Dash was charged with abuse of care of a dependent person and theft.
