Pike County man convicted alleged of sexual assault of minor

PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— The Westmoreland County District Attorney, Nicole Ziccarelli, announced the sentencing of a Pike County man on sexual assault charges.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney stated that 62-year-old David Stone will spend six to 23 months in jail after being convicted for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl inside a camper at Keystone State Park.

The victim states that this happened in 2020 when she went to the campground with Stone and his wife, according to the release.

Officials say that Stone was found guilty in December of 2024 of indecent assault and corruption of minors.

Ziccarelli states that the victim disclosed the allegations to child welfare workers in 2021 which was a year after the assault occurred.

Stone is also awaiting trial for charges out of Tioga County where he was accused of inappropriately touching a young girl in 2008.
