SHICKSHINNY, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges from a crash that killed another person.
Officers say Tyler Mizell has been sentenced to one and a half to seven years for homicide by vehicle, and four months to three years for DUI.
Coroner confirms 1 man dead after Polk Township fire
The deadly crash happened in Union Township in June of last year when officers say Mizell was driving 77 miles per hour when he went off the road, across a driveway, and over a cliff, landing in the woods.
His passenger was ejected from the passenger door window.
Investigators say the passenger was later found dead in the wooded area.
