Johnson College shows off new addition to Scranton campus

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Johnson College showed off its latest addition to its Scranton campus on Wednesday.

It's called Bracey Hall. The building will house HVAC, electrical construction technology, and building property maintenance classes.

The new space will help expand the college's growing building trades program.

Plans in motion for new Scranton splash pad

"Being here 15 years ago as a student, and seeing how far the programs come, and the growth we're giving back to the local community, and all of our local partners that are looking for HVAC, qualified HVAC technicians, it's phenomenal to see just how far the programs grown all of these years," Building Trades Division Chair and the HVAC Program Director Walter Wood explained.

"This is great, I mean it was much nicer walking down in here cause our labs on the other side, so we have a lot more access to tools," Johnson College HVAC Student Jason Demanicor

A tour was given of the new expanded facility on Wednesday.
