Monroe County asks residents to weigh in on disaster plans
For 30 years this march has been bringing awareness to the problem of sexual assault and how to help with support for survivors, of prevention, as well as knowing how to effectively intervene.
"It's really a great time for people to come out and show solidarity, standing with victims, talking to each other, learning a little bit about what they can do personally and professionally to help survivors to come together as community and say that we're not going to stand for violence we want to support survivors we demand safety. We demand respect, and we are going to shout as loud as we can," explained Lauren Peterson, executive director, Safe Monroe.
This event was a partnership between Safe Monroe, East Stroudsburg University, Monroe County's District Attorneys Office, and local law enforcement.
