EDWARDSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been arrested after police say he sexually assaulted a woman and had an illegal firearm in his home.
Officers say Elijah Gabriel Wright, 24, of Edwardsville, was giving the victim a tattoo in Edwardsville when he sexually assaulted her.
Investigators say the victim then drove back to her house in shock, later calling the police who advised her to go to the hospital and get a rape examination.

Officers then executed a search warrant on Wright's house, where they found a loaded gun.
Officers say Wright is a convicted felon in New York and is not allowed to have a firearm.
Wright is facing the following charges:
First Degree Felony Rape Forcible Compulsion
First Degree Felony IDSI Forcible Compulsion
Second Degree Felony Sexual Assault
Second Degree Felony Aggravated Indecent Assault without Consent
Second Degree Felony Aggravated Indecent Assault - Forcible Compulsion
Second Degree Misdemeanor Indecent Assault without Consent of Another
First Degree Misdemeanor Indecent Assault Forcible Compulsion
The Edwardsville Borough Police Department told 28/22 News Wright's bail was denied by Judge Carmody.
