WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing additional charges after police say he not only gave a teen drugs, requested sexual favors , but he also had child porn on his phone.
According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police, in the Spring of 2024, Donnell Edwards, 35, was talking with a 15-year-old girl through a messaging app and would send her inappropriate photos.
According to police, in December 2024, Edwards allegedly requested sex with the victim, and they met in his van after school. While with the victim, police said the two smoked marijuana and Edwards made requests for sexual acts in exchange for providing the drugs.
Passenger killed during wrong-way crash
The victim did not engage in sexual acts with Edwards and claimed she saw Edwards messaging several of her friends during the time of this incident.
Investigators say they got a search warrant for Edwards' phone, and they found multiple videos/photographs of "prepubescent and pubescent minors engaged in sexual acts."
Due to this discovery, new charges were filed against Edwards, and a warrant was issued for his arrest after he was previously released on bail. Edwards was taken to the Lycoming County Prison on a $100,000.00 bail.
