MAYFIELD, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— It is the week before Good Friday, and it's also time for the William Walker Hose Company's annual fish fry.
The fish fry was a drive thru style.
Patrons don't have to get out of their car as their order is taken, then the meals brought out to them.
All the proceeds from Friday's fish fry are going towards supporting the fire company and their expenses throughout the year.

They say this is necessary because they're a 100 percent volunteer led organization.
"It just makes them stronger and better, you know, that they could afford to get whatever they need then, all their supplies and equipment and everything," explained Richmondale resident Mike Skasko.
"We get to see people in the community that we don't get to see every day, they come and support us so" "It's a win for everyone." we get to interact with them, and they see the hard work that goes into running the organization," stated Jim Kuzmak, training officer for the William Walker Hose Company.
They were hoping to sell 700 meals in total.
